Another Route to B.Tech: Diploma Mechanical Engineering Course and Lateral Entry

Not every engineer starts after Class 12. Anjaneya University offers a 3-year, AICTE-approved diploma mechanical engineering course that students can join right after Class 10. Diplomas are also available in Civil, Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunication, and Electrical Engineering.

After completing the diploma, students can either start working as junior engineers or technicians, or continue studying through B.Tech lateral entry. With lateral entry, diploma holders join directly in the second year of B.Tech. At Anjaneya University, no separate entrance exam is required for lateral entry.

This route is trending because students gain hands-on skills early, have a job-ready qualification after just three years, and can still earn a full engineering degree.
